Life's my light and liberty and I shine when I want to shine

Some awesome keyboard shortcuts you may not have known about (Note: Windows only, sorry Max and Linuc users. The browser ones definitely work in Firefox, but I don't know if they work in any other browser. They should do, though, but if they don't work in your browser, don't blame me.) Computer (Note: I THINK these are Windows XP and later): Win + L = Lock the computer Win + D = Show the desktop Win + E = Open Windows Explorer Win + X = Open a special menu from which you can do things like open power saving, control panel, Task Manager, and restart/sleep/shut down To rename a file quickly, highlight the one you want to rename and press F2 When in an active Explorer window with a lot of files in it, press a letter to immediately jump to the files beginning with that letter If you want to open a program, press the Win key to open the Start menu, type the first few letters of the program you want, then press Enter. Making Video Games Easier - Twilight's Tips Here's a number of ways to make video games much easier than they should be. Final Fantasy X Choose "Expert" Sphere Grid mode at the start of the game. This gives you more freedom and ability to learn high-level spells/abilities earlier. In the very first battle (with the Sinscales, when fighting alongside Auron in Zanarkand), KO Auron. You'll have to do it yourself, since the Sinscales in this fight don't attack. Once Auron is KOd, have Tidus defend 60 times. He'll learn a new Overdrive mode, Loner. Set this as his Overdrive mode. When you get to Besaid, as soon as you're able to encounter enemies, spend some time grinding Tidus's Overdrives. Make everyone except Tidus leave the battle (have them take an action first, like defending, so they still get AP), then just defend until Tidus's Overdrive gauge fills up (make sure he's still set to Loner), then use the Overdrive to kill the

Pointless trivia about Metal Gear Solid. It may seem like old hat now, but back in its day, the fourth-wall breaking aspect of the original Metal Gear Solid had never really been done before, which is why it sticks in players' minds so much. Psycho Mantis is particularly popular for this reason, with his trick of reading the player's mind (i.e. their Memory Card) and commenting on certain games they've played, as well as the unorthodox method of plugging the controller into the second controller port in order to prevent him reading your controller inputs so you can defeat him. No other boss had ever used such an outside-the-box tactic as that before, so it definitely left an impression on the gamers who played Metal Gear Solid around the time it came out. Speaking of which, it is actually possible, though incredibly difficult, to defeat Psycho Mantis without switching controller ports. If you do, he won't mention that you used the other port in the cutscene after th

Pointless trivia time again. It's been a while, hasn't it? This time, I'll be covering Ace Attorney. In actual legal proceedings, at least in America, an "objection" is a protest issued when one counselor wants to keep a part of the testimony out of the official record and the ears of the jury, or to deem evidence unusable because it's illegal or irrelevant to the case. The games use it as a fancier translation of the Japanese "igi ari", which literally means "I disagree". The spin-off Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth was conceived as an April Fools' Day prank. In the week leading up to April Fools' Day, Capcom teased screenshots of Phoenix Wright freely walking through crime scenes, rather than using the usual point-and-click method. Because of the overwhelming positive reaction, they ended up making the game for real, though starring Edgeworth instead of Phoenix. Most of the references to popular culture and Inte
