Let's go, don't wait, this night's almost over!

Taking a break from Predator Callout series to post some more pointless facts, this time about The Legend of Zelda series. I may have done this one before but screw you, this is my blog and I do what I like on it. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was initially planned to be in first-person perspective, but Nintendo decided third-person would work better. Miyamoto also wanted players to be able to see Link, because "He is so cool-looking!" Link's design in Ocarina of Time was actually a lot more cartoonish originally, and slightly resembled his design in the Legend of Zelda cartoon series. It was changed to his iconic current design when one of the female employees of Nintendo remarked "All of Nintendo's characters have funny noses. Don't you have any handsome ones?" Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that he loves Disney, and based Link's appearance on their portrayal of Peter Pan. This could also be why the Kokiri never age, and why Link plays an

Can't even think you're wrong

Predator Callout, Part 2 - Former Victims' Testimonies The following is a collection of excerpts from the testimonies of former victims of predators. All victims here have had their names removed for privacy reasons. Sorted by predator for ease of access. I'm posting this here now so people can see it, more will be added later hopefully. Neurotica "they tend to like to prey on loneliness" (Lonely/depressed people are especially vulnerable to predators) "they basically made me want to be around them more" (A common tactic - see below) "somehow managed to disable my triggers" "but they started by getting me high and drunk" (Lowering inhibitions/reasoning to make the victim more suggestible) "and just talked to me. I don't remember what about" "and when I was with them, I felt... happy but nervous. like I was wanted" "like I was enjoyable to be around" (This is a technique used by predato

She said "I can't love a wayward man!"

EDIT: WARNING ABOUT DANGEROUS FILES Avoid listening to any files with the name of a certain Disney movie about a deer (colloquially referred to as Disney Deer files, or DD files). They are designed to create an alter with that name in whoever listens to them, who will slowly take them over. The files market themselves as just a fantasy, but they are designed enough in a way where that fantasy becomes reality, and if you're not prepared for that or okay with it, it can actually do genuine psychological harm to you. Plus, the triggers are extremely common and open, with no safeties attached to them whatsoever. Twilight's List of Hypno-Predators and Hypno-Abusers The following is a list of all people I know to be predators, abusers, or just general assholes, as well as some known victims/recruiters. Hopefully this will be helpful to some people. What is a predator? The definition varies, but basically it's someone who uses hypnosis irresponsibly and recklessly, with no

In order to celebrate completing the Tattle Log (read: enemy bestiary) in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, I thought I'd write it out for you. Obviously spoilers, so don't look if you ever plan to complete this game. I've even included the Japanese names of the enemies too, because I'm just awesome like that. 1. Goomba Japanese Name: Kuribō (Roughly "Chestnut People", derived from "kuri", meaning "chestnut") Location: Various Max HP: 2 Attack: 1 Defense: 0 Description: The underling of underlings. No other distinguishing characteristics. 2. Paragoomba Japanese Name: Patakuribō (From "pata", an onomatopoeia for a flapping sound, and kuribō, Goomba's Japanese name) Location: Various Max HP: 2 Attack: 1 Defense: 0 Description: A Goomba with wings. Can't reach it with a hammer while it's in the air, but once it's damaged, its wings get clipped. It's kind of sad, really. 3. Spiky Goomba Japa

Give yourself up to me

So, remember that thing I did before where I wrote how the levels in Sonic Adventure 2 would be pronounced if they were written in katakana? Well, now I'm taking my obsession to a new level by doing the same thing with the islands in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Yes, all of them. Pray for me. Forsaken Fortress - Fōseiken Fōtoresu Star Island - Sutā Airando Northern Fairy Island - Nōzan Fearī Airando Gale Isle - Geiru Airu Crescent Moon Island - Kuresento Mūn Airando Seven-Star Isles - Sebun Sutā Airuzu Overlook Island - Ōbārukku Airando Four-Eye Reef - Fō-Ai Rīfu Mother & Child Isles - Mazā ando Chairudo Airuzu Spectacle Island - Supekutakuru Airando Windfall Island - Uindofōru Airando Pawprint Isle - Pōpurinto Airu Dragon Roost Island - Doragon Rūsuto Airando Flight Control Platform - Furaito Kontorōru Purattohōmu Western Fairy Island - Uesutan Fearī Airando Rock Spire Isle - Rokku Supaia Airu Tingle Island - Chinkuru Airando Northern Triangle Isle -

Come on let's go everybody oh we share the music

This is the part where I post lyrics to a song no one's probably ever heard before, and then explain the meaning behind each line. Why? Because this is my blog and I can do what I want! The song is "Goku vs Superman. Epic Rap Battles of History Season 3." You can find it on YouTube. (Note: I'm writing these lyrics exactly as they appear in the video, just to explain the lack of capital letters) Verse 1: Superman  - Just before this verse, we see Clark Kent transform into Superman by spinning rapidly on the spot, which he often did in old TV shows as well. Who can stop this constipated jock  - A common humourous observation about Dragon Ball Z is that the characters all seem like they're constipated, referring to all the grunting and yelling they do while powering up/transforming etc. with the awful animation  - Dragon Ball Z is often criticised for its sub-par animation, featuring extensive use of stock footage and copy-pasting, particularly during its

Oh yeah, hurry through the unexplored land

So I was just playing Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the GameCube and I thought I'd do this little fun (read: useless) project. Basically, I'm going to attempt, using a combination of a katakana table and Google translate, to write the level names as they would be written in Japanese katakana (the Japanese system for writing non-Japanese words), transliterated back to English letters. As an added bonus (since I really like them), I'll add the names for the music tracks that play during those levels. Are you ready? Okay, let's go! Hero Side Story City Escape - Shiti Esukēpu Music: "Escape from the City" "The Mad Convoy Race" - When being chased by GUN truck Wild Canyon - Wairudo Kyanion Music: "Kick the Rock!" Prison Lane - Purizun Rēn Music: "This Way Out" Metal Harbor - Metaru Hābā Music: "That's the Way I Like It" "Can't Stop, So What!?" - When riding the snowboard at the end Green For

I'm just singing random words

Thought I'd do another list that no one will read, this time debunking common rumours (mostly resulting from misquotes). Here we go! Myth: Al Gore claimed that he invented the Internet. Fact: Al Gore only said that he took the initiative in creating the Internet, by spearheading the funding that helped develop the technology that made the Internet possible. Myth: John Lennon said the Beatles were bigger than Jesus. Fact: He actually said "more popular than Jesus", and was making a statement on Christianity at the time (the full quote was "Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that - I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now - I don't know what will go first, rock and roll or Christianity.") His statement was taken out of context for a smear campaign by the American press. Myth: Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a bat during a live performance. Fact: Actually, this really did ha
