What is love?

In celebration of Valentine's Day (which I know was yesterday but shut up), I decided to ask most of my characters what "love" means to them. This is what they said. Jutah: It's like when you always want to be around someone, even if you'd normally rather be alone. Keyakku: Love is a burning flame, but like all flames, it'll go out if you don't feed it occasionally. Ketana: When you're around a certain person, and everything just feels like a dream and they make you happy just by being nearby. Kawaii: (singing) I don't believe in love! I never have, I never will! Rika: Love is warm, nice feeling. Sachi: Uhh... I guess it's like when you really like someone, except even more? Crystal: Something that's very difficult to define. Ita: When you're with someone you love, you feel like you could do anything! Kata: Nothing I want to bother with. Annri: Overrated, if you ask me... Dana: I think people say "love"

Shine bright like a diamond

I've got some character profiles here for no one to look at. These four girls are collectively referred to as the Jewel Trio. They know full well the name is inaccurate, but Ruby couldn't remember or pronounce "Jewel Quartet", so she went with "Trio" instead. They used to be called the Jewel Sisters, but that caused people to think they were blood-related, which they're not. Starting with the youngest. Ruby - Despite being 18, Ruby acts like she's about 8 most of the time. She has a short attention span (sometimes displaying signs of mild ADD or ADHD) and a habit of only half-listening, meaning she often misunderstands things or gets fixated on random little details. She has the ability to "scan" people, which lets her find out things about them like their name, age, date and place of birth, hobbies and favourite food, but she still manages to never get people's names right. Can be a bit of a handful sometimes, but means well, in

I saw the crescent, you saw the whole of the moon

Pointless trivia about Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon . An early promo for the DiC dub featured different names for the characters. Usagi was called Victoria, Ami was called Blue (very original name there, guys), Rei was called Dana, Makoto was called Sara and Minako was called Carrie. An early Kodansha website for the series had another set of dub names - Celeste for Usagi, Maggie for Makoto, Monica for Minako and Mark for Mamoru (Ami and Rei became Amy and Rae, later spelled Raye, the same as their actual dub names). Naru and Motoki were initially given the dub names Nadine and Michael. Their actual dub names ended up being Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina, Darien (for Mamoru), Molly (for Naru) and Andrew (for Motoki). Before DiC lost the rights to the show to Cloverway (full details below), toys of the upcoming characters Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna (Sailors Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) were released with different English names, indicating these may have been the names DiC would have us
