This is a list I'm making of all confirmed transgender characters in video games. For clarity's sake, when I say "transgender" I mean specifically a character who has transitioned from one gender to the opposite (e.g. someone who was assigned male at birth but now presents and identifies as female), so for simplicity's sake I'm not including non-binary or otherwise genderfluid/genderqueer characters in this list, even though they would also fall under the umbrella term of "trans". Also, by "confirmed" I mean that the character is explicitly shown or stated to be trans either in the game itself, or in an official source like a character bio or a statement by the creator of the character.  Oh look it's another Sonic pointless trivia Back in the '90s, there were plans to release the combined Sonic 3 & Knuckles as a single cartridge, internally referred to as Sonic 3C (normal Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was Sonic 3A , and Sonic & Knuckles was Sonic 3B ). Judging from articles in magazines at the time, it was going to be called Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Limited Edition or Sonic the Hedgehog 3+ . It was meant to be the only version released in Japan, but due to the delay, Japanese gamers just reverse-imported the American version of the games, and the combined version ended up never seeing the light of day. Knuckles originally had a harsher, more reptilian/dinosaur-like appearance, which his long tail is a holdover from. Another early design had him as another hedgehog, whom Tails would have been fond of due to his resemblance to Sonic.
