What a life is mine!

Well, while I'm on a break at uni I guess I should fill the one or two of you who read my blog in on what's going on in my life. And trust me... I don't think I can call my life uneventful anymore. Well, later on this year I'm moving to Finland in order to be with my beloved future wife and mother of my child (gah, the thought still terrifies me XD), so I've got like a metric ton of stuff to sort out before that... Mainly: 1. Get a marriage license 2. Get all the paperwork I need for moving to another country 3. Apply and get accepted to a Finnish university (I'm applying to Haaga-Helia University in Helsinki) 4. Withdraw from THIS uni (which I'm doing after I've finished this year) and cancel all my student loans 5. Find a way to get my stuff shipped over to Finland I got a lot of stuff to do, on top of all my uni work and assignments. On the plus side, though, I got myself a job! It's just working in a warehouse, not the most glamorous of careers, ...

Here comes a new challenger!

NO WAY! Can it be true? Twilight is bringing a new life into the world! Yeah, it's true. I'm gonna be a father! Scary, huh? I can't believe it. I don't know a thing about looking after kids! Well, let's just see what happens, shall we? Light be with you all!!!

Good, so it was a success!

My week of non-stop working on my assignments last year paid off, it seems I passed all of them! Here's the marks I got for anyone interested. Introduction To Business Law - 45% Learning And Skills Development In Business - 63% Business Environment - 47% The pass mark for all three was 40%. It was close, but I made it! Light be with you, my friends.

There's a staaarmaaan waiting in the sky...

Bonne année! To all my proud warriors near and far, I hope this new year brings you good fortune and victory in all that you strive for! Light be with you through 2010 and onwards!

NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams - A Review

So, I haven't played this game all the way through yet, but I think I've played it enough to form an opinion, and from what I've seen, it's pretty cool.  The thing that disappointed me first of all is that, unlike most SEGA games, there is no option to set the voices to Japanese in this one, which I often utilise because the English voices, particularly in Sonic games, bother me (one reason why I hope someday to own a copy of the PS3/360 version of Sonic Unleashed, which has the option of Japanese voices, a feature which the PS2 version - which I own - lacks). I later discovered this was because there ARE no Japanese voices - the game was never dubbed in Japanese, and was released in English even in its native Japan. Still, the voices aren't TOO bad, and though it's hard to convey an androgynous personification of freedom and rebellion (or whatever NiGHTS is supposed to be), I don't think he/she (I'm just gonna refer to NiGHTS as "she" from now...

GOOD MORNING, MISTER VICE PRESIDENT!!!

(Title is a quote from Futurama that has no relevance to the following post) Happy Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza/Free Stuff Day, people! Wanna know what I got? No? Well, screw you, I'm gonna tell you anyway! I got NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams for the Wii, so I finally got a game featuring the inspiration for my cat's name. I also got a few books, which I'll list below for your bemusement. The Mythic Bestiary: The Illustrated Guide To The World's Most Fantastical Creatures by Tony Allen (An awesome book that is what it is - a catalogue of famous mythical creatures. Everyone knows I'm absolutely crazy about mythology, so I love this book) The QI G Annual - I have the F Annual already, so the G Annual is a welcome addition to my collection. I LOVE QI, I absolutely freaking LOVE it, and anything to do with it is a winner in my book. Making History by Stephen Fry - I haven't read it yet, but if it's by Stephen Fry (one of my favourite famous people in general, in no sma...
