Undertale - Monster Sparing Guide
Just because I can.
Note: Again, I highly recommend playing Undertale for yourself first before reading this.
On with the show. Note that to skip your turn, you can either choose Spare, use an Item, or Fight and miss.
Froggit - Compliment (Threat also works, but makes its attacks more frantic)
Whimsun - Just Spare
Moldsmal - Just Spare (Flirt gets you Gold, but only like 2G, so it's not really worth it)
Migosp - Can be Spared if it's the only enemy remaining
Vegetoid - Dinner, then touch the green vegetables (green attacks heal you). When it's Sparable, you can choose Devour to recover your HP. Note that in the demo, doing this counted as killing it, impacting a Pacifist run, but in the full game, it still counts as ending the battle peacefully (in the demo, you ate the whole monster, but in the full game you only take a bite out of it).
Loox - Don't Pick On.
Napstablook - Keep choosing Cheer until he uses his "dapper blook" trick, then Cheer or Flirt.
Toriel - Just keep choosing Spare. Note that Toriel will never kill you - once you get low on HP, she will start actively avoiding you with her attacks.
Snowdrake - Wait for it to say a pun, then Laugh.
Ice Cap - Ignore twice.
Glyde - Applaud twice, then Nothing three times.
Gyftrot - Undecorate three times.
Jerry - When he's the last enemy left, Ditch him.
Lesser Dog - Pet a few times or use the Stick.
Doggo - Avoid an attack, then Pet. Alternatively, use the Stick.
Dogamy and Dogaressa - Roll Around, Re-sniff, then Pet both of them. Alternatively, use the Stick.
Greater Dog - Beckon, Pet, Play, Pet three times. Alternatively, Ignore four times. Alternatively, use the Stick.
Papyrus - Just survive all his attacks. If you Flirt with him, his battle dialogue will be different.
Aaron - Flex three times. Alternatively, once you reach Napstablook's house, go inside and play one of the CDs. Leave the house while the tune is still playing and get into a battle to encounter Aaron and Woshu, who comment on the creepy music. After that, you can choose Shoo to make Aaron go away instantly.
Woshu - Clean, then touch at least one green drop.
Mad Dummy - Mad Dummy cannot be defeated or Spared. Trick its dummies into hitting it with magic attacks, then when it summons the robot dummies, just keep surviving until the battle ends.
Shyren - Hum once to make her Sparable. If you keep humming until the battle ends automatically, you'll improve your musical abilities, which is useful for a later enemy.
Moldbygg - When it's disguised as a Moldsmal, Flirt or Imitate to make it reveal its true form. Then Unhug.
Temmie - Talk or Feed Temmie Flakes (if you have any). Alternatively, to get Gold, Flex twice.
Undyne - Survive her attacks until she turns you red again, then Escape. Just keep running until she stops chasing you. When she collapses, get some water from the water cooler nearby and give it to her.
Pyrope - Heat Up twice.
Vulkin - Hug or Encourage.
Tsunderplane - Approach, then touch at least three green areas.
So Sorry - Keep choosing Spare until the battle ends. When it summons scribbles, use Draw on them to get rid of them.
RG 01 and 02 - Clean Armor on 02, then touch the moving armour thing until he takes his armour off. Then Whisper to 01.
Muffet - Survive her attacks. Alternatively, eat a Spider Donut or Spider Cider. You can also skip the fight entirely by spending 9999G on her bakesale.
Mettaton - When Alphys tells you about the yellow button on your phone, select Yellow. Then press Z.
Mettaton EX - Get the ratings above 12000, or survive until his limbs fall off and get the ratings above 10000.
Madjick - Talk (this will reverse your controls for the next attack), or Stare at each orb.
Knight Knight - Sing until she falls asleep. If you did the concert with Shyren, this will take fewer turns.
Final Froggit - Mystify
Whimsalot - Pray, then touch at least one green butterfly.
Astigmatism - Do what it tells you to do.
Asgore Dreemurr - This is the one and only boss you have to fight. Just keep attacking him until his HP gets low (don't worry, the battle will end before you actually kill him).
Photoshop Flowey - Survive its attacks (you actually can't lose this battle - after you die once, his attacks will only halve your current health) until ACT shows up, then hit it. Keep doing that until the battle ends.
Memoryhead - Cell, Refuse
Reaper Bird - Pick On, Mystify and Pray, in any order.
Endogeny - Beckon, Pet, Play, Pet twice. Alternatively, use the Stick.
Lemon Bread - Hum, Flex and Unhug, in any order.

Asriel Dreemurr - Dream to get more healing items, Hope to reduce damage. Then just keep surviving and ACTing until the battle ends.
Parsnik - Snack, touch the green snakes.
